This is a beautiful hand-painted stoneware tea set with a teapot, sugar and cream set, and 4 mugs by the pottery artist Debra Durrer. It's a lovely set with earthy brown tones. They each have a shiny glaze on the front half and a matte finish on the back half. They also all have a ribbed exterior including the spout and handles and lids. The interiors have a smooth finish. The bottom half has highlighted prints of flame or oblong spots. They are all in excellent condition without any chips or cracks or tea stains. Debra Durrer is based in Penticton, BC. She was a teacher at the Alberta College of Art in Calgary, AB, (now known as Alberta University of the Arts) in Ceramics in 1991 and then continued to pursue a full time career as a production potter.
