The Agitator (1920) Conrad Felixmüller (b. 21 May 1897 in Dresden - d. 24 March 1977 in Berlin) was a German Expressionist painter. Born in as Conrad Felix Müller, he chose Felixmüller as his nom d'artiste. One of the youngest members of the New Objectivity movement, Felixmüller was also a member of the Communist Party of Germany. His paintings often deal with the social realities of Germany's Weimar Republic. He was mentor to German expressionist, Otto Dix.
