🍲 French Onion Short Rib Soup with Gruyère Toast 🍲
Ingredients: For the Soup: 1 lb beef short ribs 4 large onions, thinly sliced 2 tbsp butter 4 cups beef broth 1 tsp thyme 1 bay leaf Salt and pepper to taste For the Toast: 4 slices of baguette 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese Directions: Sear short ribs in a pot until browned. Remove and set aside. In the same pot, melt butter and caramelize onions for 25-30 minutes until golden. Add broth, thyme, bay leaf, and short ribs. Simmer for 1.5-2 hours until ribs are tender. Toast baguette slices with Gruyère cheese under a broiler until bubbly.
