Fashions of the Hour was the in-house style magazine published by Marshall Field & Comany, and they often used a birds-eye perspective on its cover as a way of including the State Street flagship store in a view of the Michigan Avenue Bridge. The 333 North Michigan building that anchored the southern end of the bridge wouldn't go up until 1930. Notice the railroad freight yards still dominating the South Loop.
