Book #3 was Ethan Frome. Wow, what a tragic and heartbreaking tale. Wharton does a great job of painting the landscape of rural Massachusetts in winter and of building so much emotion into such a short tale. I thought it was reminiscent of a greek tragedy and when there’s suppressed, forbidden love ugh….so brutal, but still so good. Ethan Frome's life is depressing and bleak, but I’m still glad I read it.
