Simply removing the words “Girl” and “Boy” from a toy store’s aisles do not create a gender neutral shopping experience. Pink and blue labels convey the intended audience of a toy. Parents have to be proactive if they wish to encourage their children, and especially girls, to play with toys that don't reinforce gender stereotypes.
