It seems like yesterday, we were all stuck at home, watching the world pass by through the window, giving ourselves haircuts, baking things, recreating paintings, and whatnot. ‘Cause if there’s something the quarantine has taught us, apart from the fact that a pandemic is freakin’ serious business, it is how to set our creativity free.

Even if you don't go out to enjoy art in museums, that doesn't mean that life has to be boring or uncultured. You can recreate a famous artworks at home.

No matter the circumstances, you still gotta train the creative muscle. It doesn't take a whole lot. You pick an artwork, scoop up the most random stuff around the house, put yourself into a pose, and take a shot. People stuck at home during quarantine are letting their creativity loose. The J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles challenged art lovers to post photos of themselves recreating their favorite masterpieces from home and the response has been massive.

By sporting a bonnet fashioned out of toilet paper and clutching a celery-stalk cigarette, people are finding ways to engage with their favorite artworks from a distance. Even though most people are spending their days isolated at home due to the coronavirus pandemic, it doesn’t mean that life has suddenly become boring and uncultured.
