ceramic vases from the 70s by Scheurich, west german pottery, Mid Century

Vintage ceramic vase, made by West German manufacturer Jasba Keramik in the 1970's. The modern rounded shape gives it a timeless appeal, whilst the detail around the neck and the striking glaze make it a standout. It has a delightful bright green glaze at the top, smoothly dripping over a caramel toned matte glaze. A real mood lifter! Excellent vintage condition. Embossed on the underside is the makers mark and model identified 1168/20.

The Lava glaze ceramics of the 60's were an extension of the Bauhaus design concept of creating affordable decorative arts for mass consumption
