The Heavy Duty mounts use a new design for attaching to the board that works on any pegboard regardless of material or depth, and gives a secure hold with no wiggle once mounted. It is especially recommended to use the HD mounts for heavy items like high capacity batteries and multiple battery chargers, very thick pegboards, pegboards that have 5/16\" holes instead of 1/4\", or in environments that will experience high levels of vibration like a tradesman's van or truck.
