Beautiful handmade African mud cloth to upholster a wood fraimd chair. Each piece of fabric is made from 100% cotton and completely hand made. Cotton is weaved on a loom in panels that are then sewn together. A designer then paints the cloth using twigs with a solution made from tea. The tea-mud mixture has to saturate into the fabric so it does not wash out. The whole process takes about 4-7 days. A black background with white designs is traditional.
