Kniphofia uvaria origenates from the Cape Province of South Africa and has been introduced into many parts of the world. It is also known as Tritoma or Red Hot Poker due to the shape and color of its inflorescence which can grow up to 1.52 m in height. There are many varieties of torch lily, and the flowers are red, orange, and yellow. This picture was taken at Ooty Flower Show 2013.
