Three internal courtyards of House in Akashi in Japan, designed by Osaka-based practice Arbol, have space for growing plants and drying clothes.

This house is developed around a courtyard, a core space which casts multi-level interactions with the adjoining spaces.

BANGKOK / Albeit small in terms of land area, a graceful concrete house feels spacious thanks to a warm and welcoming interior courtyard.

They wanted us to design their dream, a home with a contemporary outlook where the indoors would seamlessly merge with the outdoors.

A couple downsized with a mission: to turn their entire home into a family room.
