Jesus next gave what many call the model prayer. (Matthew 6:9-13) He said: “You must pray, then, this way: ‘Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified.’” Addressing God as “our Father” indicates that others also have a close relationship with him as part of his family of worshipers.
