This came in a group of WWI and WWII military uniforms. It looks to be a hand knit American Red Cross U. S. Army vest but has no label. It could be 1910s or up to 1940s; I'm thinking it is earlier. Made of green wool. Pull over style, V neck, 6" waistband. About a size small. Actual measurements are: 37" at the chest 29" at the waist 15.5" shoulder to shoulder 23" overall length In good condition, a couple of old repairs and some minor wear.
