Svenska: Selångers kyrkoruin ligger i den äldsta delen av Selångers församling, där de äldsta delarna är från tidigt 1100- tal och 1200- tal. Hälsingelagens huvudexemplar förvarades i Selångers kyrka i Medelpad, vilket kanske kan ge en antydan om att Storhälsinglands judiciella centrum – liksom dess geografiska – legat i Medelpad. År 1030 landsteg Olof Haraldsson i Selånger för att sedan vandra mot Norge där han avsåg återta tronen, men avled vid slaget i Stikklestad. Hans kvarlevor fördes till Nidaros (nuvarande Trondheim) där den stora domen började byggas på hans grav. Pilgrimsleden Selånger till Nidaros blev under medeltiden an av de fyra viktigaste i Europa.
