This is in no way a traditional recipe, but I love it. I’m used to eating rasam rice but once day just didn’t want to make rice separately and added rice noodles to the pot. And GAME CHANGER. So so so gooood. 

Here’s the recipe 

Dry roast 
1 tbsp toot dal 
1 tbsp chana dal 
2 tsp coriander seeds 
2 dried Kashmiri chillies 
1/2 tsp cumin seeds 
1/2 tsp methi (fenugreek) seeds 
1/2 tsp peppercorns 

Once roasted and fragrant, grind them into a paste along with 1/3 cup water and 3 small garlic cloves. 

Heat oil in a pan, add 1/2 tsp cumin seeds, 10 curry leaves and a pinch of hing (asafoetida) 
Let this splutter. 

Add 1 chopped chilli and 1 tsp minced ginger. Sauté for 1 min. 

Add the paste along with 2 tbsp water. Make the heat low and saut Rasam Rice, Healthy Soup Vegetarian, Vegetarian Soups, Chana Dal, Cumin Seeds, Vegetarian Soup, Fenugreek Seeds, Coriander Seeds, Curry Leaves
