during LDF london design festival 2016, raw color studio will exhibit a number of playful works under the name 'blend.'

A visual research about vegetables and their powerful color. Vegetables are dismantled and purified to their visual essence 'RAW COLOR'. The harvested color is captured by a new process preserving their intensity on color cards. Categorized by shades and families a new map is created which shows their beautiful diversity. This projects reinterprets the vegetable and puts it into new context.

It is not nostalgia-design, though some of it has a decidedly old-fashioned feel to it, and it is not minimalist design as such, except when it comes to the use of colour. It is what has become known as mono-graphics — where because of budgetary restraints or a self-imposed restriction, the design is printed in only one or two colours.
