9 years ago I did this 3D matte paintings while still at Blur Studio, I had a lot of artistic freedom :) and even though the style was a bit cartoonish I really enjoyed experimenting with adding some ideas to what Cybertron would look like to me. I used 3ds max. Photoshop and Mental ray ! check out the scenes at the beginning and the end of the cinematic
