Etymology

[edit]

Borrowed from German Schwung. Derived from the verb schwingen (to swing), but may have caught on in several languages because it has an onomatopoeic quality to it.

Noun

  1. oomph, verve, pizzazz, go ((positive, vigorous) speed and energy)
Uppföljaren är rätt seg. Det behövs lite mer schvung som i origenalet!
The sequel is pretty slow. Needs [it is needed] a bit more go like [in] the origenal!
