A trend of the past, the kitchen desk space has worn out its appeal. Not quite big enough to call a home office and too small to do much with, it can be difficult to decide how to use the space. If you have a desk space in your kitchen, here are five ideas on how to use it more efficiently.

This family wanted a place to entertain, watch the football game, and hangout as a family. With three boys, they also needed a designated space to do homework and plenty of storage space for snacks and video games. We added a new kitchenette with a large island, entertainment center built-ins, and a double desk work space. We repurposed an old dining room set, finished an additional play space for the boys and their friends, and gave a little update to the twins' bedroom.
