As they gain confidence, we introduce the full name—beginning with tracing, then attempting to write independently. We practice these skills weekly upon arrival and also during dedicated small group sessions twice a month. To reinforce learning at home, we provide parents with a packet that includes a dry-erase pocket, dry-erase marker and name sheets with their child's first letter and full name.
