Slavery, social stratification, prejudice, discrimination, warfare/genocide, and many other horrific actions are human-made. When actions like these are committed people may reference the culprits as animals in a derogatory way... Yet, we're the ones mass murdering, caging, and experimenting on animals for unethical reasons when they are nothing but (mostly) peaceful with us. Animals are beautiful creatures and we don't deserve to be called one.
