When I first tried paper mache, my goal was simple: make a bowl. That project turned into a love for transforming newspaper and glue into something new. I started small, making shapes and animals. It was messy fun, and I learned a lot by just doing. Each piece was better than the last, and soon, I was making items not just for myself but as gifts for friends and family too. I made this as a piece of wall art for my new apartment! It's done with a cardboard and newspaper base and covered in paper mache. I painted it with acrylic paints. It's pretty big, see the light switch in lower left hand corner for scale!
