Jackie Wright Ceramics on Instagram: "Recycling clay.  One of the best things about clay is that if you’re not happy with the piece that you’ve thrown, you can recycle and throw it again.   To do this I first let the clay dry out completely, then I break it up and put it in a bucket with water - leave it a day or so - then follow the steps that you see in this reel.   The drying time on the plaster bat was about 4 hours on the first side, then about 30 minutes on the other side, before it was ready for wedging. (Drying time varies depending on the ambient temperature.)  A little insight into studio life.
