We're going to do that by making some corbels from scratch. We're going to start out with a piece of six by six western rough song cedar. Once I determined my width which was 4 inches, I grabbed the table saw and ripped it down. Cut out the general shape on a bandsaw. Got my handy dandy palm router with a quarter inch round over bit and we're just going to hit all of the edges. Little hand sanding just to smooth it up a bit. Now we need to make a way to mount it to the wall. I ended up grabbing my keyhole router bit. Because man this thing this thing came in clutch. Clamped a board to the side. That way I could keep everything straight and down the middle. Yep. Mhm. You know where I'm going with this. Now I'll be able to mount it to the wall without having to put four or five screws through the face of this thing. So all I have to do now is line up the screw heads with the keyhole slots and push. Push it real good. Sneak a little trim headed screw right into the bottom of this thing and you will never see it. Yes sir. Think these corbels turned out great. Definitely gives it that little bit of wood axe that my client was wanting. As always, got it coach.
