Cutting Table Height, Healthy Quilting with Rose Parr
For quilters using a rotary cutter to slice and dice fat quarters - the optimum table height should be 2-3 inches below your waist. Instead of the standard ergonomic 90 degree elbow angle - you want it a little lower so gravity can assist with pressure, while keeping your wrist neutral- straight. A set of bed risers ($10-20) positioned under your table easily raises it to the height that will keep you positioned in the most ergonomic spot to use your rotary cutter.
