Sacred journey to Ladakh

In 2010 His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama consecrated the statue, of Jampa Maitreya Buddha (Buddha of the future), which promotes world peace and protects Diskit village. It stands over 100-feet tall on a hilltop just below the Diskit Monastery the oldest and largest Buddhist monastery in the Nubra valley.
