The architectural firm of Barker & Ott were important contributors to the fabric of Los Angeles between the two world wars; the city's "golden age" of building. The firm was responsible for the design of the Mediterranean Revival style of the John C. Fremont Branch Library (1927); Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Beverly Hills (1930); Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Hollywood (1921); and the Spanish Gothic chapel at Mt.
