Here a blacksmith forge concept art I made. I had so much fun doing that! Here's the main process: I started to study the main shape with thumbnails exploration, I made a simple 3d base render in Maya using V-ray, and then I finalized the concept in Photoshop. It's a medieval blacksmith shop for the game title being developed in Czech Republic. Textures are 100% PBR. Rendered in Marmoset Toolbag 2. I used two 2K textures (2048x2048px) for the whole scene each with their own set of PBR maps (albedo, metalness, roughness, normal and occlusion) Objects are as lowpoly as it was possible to maintain complex forms.
