The reality is jarring especially when it happens to people you love and know. I’m always honored to be asked to do flowers for someone’s end of life celebration. I say this often but flowers some how soften all moments in life. From birth to death and everything in between. It’s pretty symbolic to me. Life is so short and precious. Since this is a large centerpiece I use additional stems such as spray roses to add to the grid inside of the vase. ✅ Fill in the empty space with the large hydrangeas.. keep it loose and natural. ✅ Add additional blooms to fill in the empty spaces. I’m using mini green hydrangeas. ✅ Arrange in the highlight “face” flowers like the peonies. ✅ Put in the accent blooms like lisianthus and star of beth, then texture fillers of peppergrass. Ingredients and steps: ✔️Roses, spray roses, lilac, lisianthus, sweet pea, anemone, and dusty miller. ✔️ Leaf line the vase. ✔️ Use my flower food combo: a drop of bleach + a splash of lemon soda. ✔️ Start with the roses to cross cross the stems in each corner of the vase. ✔️ Lilacs have woody stems —> help it drink water by splitting the stem for more surface area. ✔️ Fill in the holes and gaps of the arrangement while balancing out the blooms throughout the vase. ✔️ Save + Like + Share + Follow for more flower arranging The fluffiness and fragrance of lilacs are irresistible.
