Reading through that article I see port 465 is used. I have 5 systems using umail and Gmail but use port 587. Maybe this link will help: |

Rookie error! I mistakenly assumed the app_password was global for my google account but it's specific to the esp32 email address. Once I created it in the correct chrome profile things have improved greatly. |

I'm trying to send an email from an esp32 using https://randomnerdtutorials.com/micropython-send-emails-esp32-esp826/ but it fails with
which makes me think maybe that 16 digit app passwords are no longer functional with google accounts? Just wondering if anybody else has tried Sara's 'how to' this year & had any success?
