PRINCETON, N.J. — The Boston University women's cross country team finished 12th out of 22 competing programs with 385 points at the Princeton Fall Classic Friday morning as the Terriers finished their last 6K tune-up before the Patriot League Championships. The men's side took 14th of 22 teams at the meet, accumulating 431 points.
Junior
Vera Sjöberg was the leader for the Terriers, posting a 19:56.1 time on the 6K course and finishing 11th out of a field of 249 runners. Following her was sophomore
Adrienne Buettner-Cable, who ran to a 20:53.8 time and took 62nd at the meet. Junior Sammy Seabury crossed the line next, finishing in 102nd with a 21:13.8 mark, and she was followed by freshman
Caroline Collins (21:22.9, 112th) and sophomore
Kelly Jones (21:50.3, 151st) to round out the scoring five.
For the men, junior Parker Schneider's return to the 8K course saw him take 68th and lead the way for the Terriers with a 24:03.7 time. He was followed closely by sophomore Moritz Ebbetskotte, who turned in a 24:10.8 time and took 82nd. Senior Alex Brown finished 94th with a 24:18.4 time, while junior Glenn Bell (24:25.6, 104th) and freshman Daniel Hruska (24:38.0, 127th) placed fourth and fifth in the scoring five, respectively.
The Terriers will finish their regular season competition with the Central Connecticut State Mini Meet next Friday, Oct. 25, and then head to the Patriot League Championships the following week on Saturday, Nov. 2.
