Sixth plate from a series of six designs for rococo ornament by Peyrotte. A large acanthus leaf design with swirling fronds, and a series of small ovals running up the center of the design. The plate is trimmed and pasted onto the album page. It is signed, and numbered.

Decoration relates to the production of beauty in art, in which the first principle to be considered is symmetry—the equal balance of two halves. The second principle is repetition.
