The Golden Snub-nosed monkey, found in the snowy mountain ranges of Central and Southwest China, gets its name due to its unique nose.

This is the Myanmar snub-nosed monkey! Discovered only in 2010, it was identified as a distinct species in 2011. They live along the mountainous border of Myanmar and China at an altitude of 8,500 to 10,000 ft (2,600 to 3,100 m). They are estimated to have a population between only 260-330 individuals.
