Menchi Katsu, also known as ground meat cutlet, is a Japanese dish that consists of minced pork or beef and finely chopped onions into balls.

Menchi Katsu looks like a Japanese-style croquette but this is basically a deep-fried patty/rissole. While Japanese croquette is made of mashed potatoes with a small amount of pork mince, this is mainly beef and pork mince.

Menchi Katsu is a popular Japanese yoshoku dish made with a seasoned meat patty, coated with panko breadcrumbs, and deep fried until golden and perfectly crisp. It's then drizzled with a tasty homemade sauce and served with shredded cabbage and rice, it's seriously good!
