Rebar and cedar rail. Had 20' lengths of rebar delivered; cut them down to 30" lengths, spray painted the rebar with black paint; stained the cedar boards then used a drill press to drill a hole every 4" to hold the rebar. Very heavy sturdy rail that doesn't obstruct the view!
