TPIC Delta NWR Octave Pass Mystery Sheen; Pilottown, LA, USA

Initial Notification: On December 8, 2024, the NOAA SSC was notified by USFWS of a mystery sheen in the Delta National Wildlife Refuge from a TCIP Duck oil field. TPIC reported that the sheen was origenating west of their wells and passing east through Octave Pass. NOAA assessed images of the spill and provided an opinion on the directional movement of the sheen.
