1970s Flower Motifs Hand Embroidered Gujarati Tapestry
These magnificent embroideries, preserved from the 1970s come from the Kutch region of Gujarat in India. Historically, it is said that Kutch embroidery was brought about by 'Kathi cattle breeders who were brought by the mythological figure 'karma' from Mahabharata. Eventually, these wanderers settled down and produced some fine needlework.
