The first time I made this was for my church's AWANA group where I was a Sparks Director. Our church was going through a difficult time and I saw that it was affecting the spirit of my kids. Because I believe there's nothing greater than the power of prayer, I made the kids write their own prayers on a strip of colored paper and had them insert it in a clear ornament ball. Some chose to read their prayers out loud while others chose to keep it between them and God, but there's no doubt that this helped to uplift their spirits and encourage their faith.
