These wooden tile mosaic murals are all 60-100 square feet and permanently mounted in schools where they were created. For each of them I created a "big picture" concept beforehand. I spent 1-2 weeks at the school teaching classes on portraiture, landscape painting, color mixing and composition to students. The resulting works the students created then became the pixels for my preconceived "big picture."
