The Sunset Blanket Pattern Written by Tammi Kollinger February 2021 This is a blanket I made for my big brother who loves watching the sunset. I knew I wanted to incorporate a C2C technique in his blanket and started designing it like a graphgan. I quickly found that the style would have way too many color changes for my liking. So, I made a trip to my favorite big box craft store and came across the beautifully colorful Red Heart Roll With It Melange. This yarn is full of color; exactly what I wanted. I really love the fact that this yarn does not look “stripie” when made up because of the long color changes. I used 4 different colorways of the yarn to establish even more variation over the entirety of the blanket. Supplies: • Yarn -8 skeins Red Heart Roll With It Melange. Two each of the colorways listed in the pdf pattern: • Hook – Size J 6.0mm (I used a Clover) • Scissors • Needle for weaving in ends Finished Project: Approximately 66 inches x 78 inches Stitches: Ch - chain ST – slip stitch SC – single crochet DC - double crochet Pattern Notes: • Skill Level: Intermediate • All my patterns are written for someone who knows their way around a crochet project. They are typically not for those who are brand new to the craft. Yet, if the crocheter has completed a hand full of projects and understands how to find tutorials for basic stitches online, my patterns will be perfect for you. • If you have questions about this pattern, please ask! Also, once you’ve completed the project PLEASE send pictures to me. I’d love to see your creation! • I do a variation of the typical C2C box stitch. You will find the basic instructions for my variation at the end of the pattern pdf document. You do not have to follow my variation for this pattern. You can use any C2C box stitch you are comfortable with. Have Fun!!
