Another good example of customising my website pieces. This customer asked if I could make a Lily Pad Ring with a 9ct Gold bauble instead of silver… ..of course I can! And not only that, it was a joy to do. I love working with Gold, even if it’s just small accents like this. The video really doesn’t do it justice - the gold bauble really shone and the gold reflected in the convex ‘Lily pad’ beautifully! By @gagedesigns They survived! And the colours look so good! The opal used was a 6mm Bermuda Ocean by Healing Phoenix Lapidary These cultured opals have been recognized by GIA as true synthetic opals having essentially the same chemical physical and optical properties as natural opals without the water content. I often cast with lab grown or authentic stones because they have a higher success rate and they are cost effective so I was very keen to see if these would work because I do love opals.
