Since 2022, members of the University of Kentucky community have been able to access The New York Times (NYT) and its educational resources free of charge through UK Libraries.
Now community members can enjoy an upgraded all-access subscription to NYT content, including NYT Cooking, Games, and The Athletic.
If you have been paying separately for access to these features, you may have experienced a service disruption in accessing the site using your UK login credentials.
To restore service, start by canceling your paid subscription. Once the subscription is canceled, you can visit accessnyt.com, type in University of Kentucky, and follow the instructions based on your location. If you encounter an error message, email edu@nytimes.com.
Access to the NYT is made possible through a partnership between the UK College of Communication and Information, UK Libraries and the Student Government Association (SGA).
The university also continues to offer a readership program with The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) free of charge, through a partnership with UK Libraries and SGA, first arranged by the Gatton College of Business and Economics in 2020.
