A change in owners midway through a full-scale renovation gave Lucia Caballero of Studio Caballero a dramatic opportunity to re-orient a bright mews house in South Kensington

This mews house behind Hyde Park London had been used as a clothing showroom until the architect Neil Dusheiko was asked to turn it into a family home. We were then tasked with adding some warmth and texture into the Danish-inspired interiors. The cobbled mews is located in the Bayswater Conservation Area. Historically, mews were the coach houses to the Georgian townhouses behind but now they are much-desired homes in quiet streets set back from the bustle of the city.
