How would you describe the green of the finest peridot? Is it like freshly mown grass? Or the colour of a sliced lime? One might even describe this abundant earthly gemstone as being ‘alien green,’ especially when considering peridot has been found in extraterrestrial meteorites! One thing for sure, however, is that peridot possesses a vibrant green that is unlike other members of its colour family, including emeralds, jade and malachite.
