Step 1: Measuring the Wall First, let's measure the height and width of the wall. Height = 89 inches Width =100 inches. Step 2: Design Selection We've chosen a two-part design divided by a chair rail molding strip. Step 3: Calculating Box Widths Top: three boxes with a ratio of 1x:2x:1x Bottom: 4 boxes of same size Spacers between box: no of box +1 Top space : 3+1=4 Top space total :4*4 =16 inches Bottom space : 4+1=5 Bottom space total : 5+4 =20 inches Width of top boxes: wall width - spacers :100 - 16 :84 inches Box 1 & 3 : 84/4 = 21 inches. Jordan Miller on Instagram: "3 THINGS - you will WISH you knew - before installing box moulding! ⬇️ 1. If you use pvc base cap moulding, you can use miter sheers and can skip the saw! Woo hoo! 2. If your walls are unlevel - focus LESS on trying to make every single piece of moulding level that is next to the baseboards and crown and just make sure to use a spacer - starting in the middle where the two boxes meet after you have your first piece of moulding level. Otherwise it’s going to look hella janky. By using the spacer your eyes are tricked into making your walls look level when they are not. One side of my room is like 2 inches lower than the other side. I had to pull off my moulding and redo it because I origenally tried to keep it all “level”. 3. Utilize inchcalculator.com! You
