Made “fence” with free paint sticks. Hot glued 3 paint sticks on back for stabilization, and used a paint stick for spacing between “fence posts”. I had to use a saw to shorten my backing sticks. Painted front and back with white paint. Then mod podged a Dollar Tree calendar page to fence. (Accidentally white washed thfence while using Mod podge. PS. Do not use similar brushes for painting and Mod podge.) I did several coats. Finally, cut paper between posts, and sanded edges and top surfac

I came up with this idea 25+ yrs ago and my daughter recreated it for gifts for the holidays. It has held up beautifully over the years and everyone loved them. Origionally they were a Brownie Girlscout craft. So easy and fun. Go to the hardware store and ask for the longer paint sticks. I think they are 18". This is free!
