Arachne- Greek myth: a young woman who was the best weaver in the land. She claimed to be better than Athena, and she was; beating her in a weaving competition. Athena was so mad at the mocking of Arachne that she turned her into a spider, so she can spend eternity as a weaver. Opposite to popular thought, she is not a freaky woman/spider monster.
