Mom and I discussed the film One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest a lot. She even encouraged me to see with a warning about the language. Her favorite character was Billy Bibbit, portrayed by Brad Dourif, and she and I watched and hoped he would earn the Oscar. Mom said he should have received it for his portrayal of this doomed young man. I miss talking about movies with mom.
