Chef's *Secret* Oyakodon from Kyoto 🇯🇵 Ingredients Makes 2 servings - 10 oz. boneless, skinless chicken thighs -5 large eggs - 1 tbsp sake - 1/2 tsp dashi powder - 2 tbsp mirin - 2 tbsp sugar - 2 tbsp soy sauce - 1.5 cups dry short grain rice 4 sprigs Japanese parsley - Japanese sansho pepper, optional - ½ onion (4 oz or 113g, optional especially if you have IBS and like me and get stomach aches) Instructions 1. Start by cooking your rice in a pot or rice cooker. 2. To make your dashi soup stock, mix 1/2 cup boiling water with 1/2 tsp dashi powder. Then mix in mirin, sugar and soy sauce. 3.
